My City Like You Never Seen Before

Miami has many enchanting places but nothing brings out the romance in me like standing by the venetian causeway at dusk, it simply transports me to another world. If you haven’t passed by here I absolutely recommend it during the twilight hours.

Summer sunsets in Miami can be magical too, California has nothing on us! Well maybe not, but still if you cant afford to travel at least you can spend an afternoon biking around downtown and you can be mesmerized by the sun rays turning Miami into a golden city of wonder! It’s not having what you want, is wanting what you got!

Miami can also be cold and charming in the 2 weeks of winter we experience here, specially because everyone seems to be in a good mood, maybe is due to the fact that we can show off our winter clothe which we all buy too much of considering how short our winter is here.  Never the less we Floridians prefer the summer for obvious reasons: the beach

Ok so our city might not be known for its historic architecture glory but its still there and everyone should check it out along with the museums and historical sites. Get to know your “neck of the woods” you might discover things you never knew! Be a tourist in your backyard!

Brickell Key is enchanting, taking a walk, gazing at the bay and spotting a dolphin here and there are just part of the magic. Seriously people if you get a chance stop by this mini city of wonder.

Living on the Ledge

My name is Ares and I am 8 years old. I have the best life – I am gorgeous and everyone knows it, plus I live rent-free and eat & drink all I want and I don’t pay taxes.  I was rescued from euthanasia back when I was just a baby in Animal Services by the owner of this blog who I have learned not to respect anymore since I discovered he will still feed me no matter what I do, jejeje I’m so bad! Please leave comments about this photo I need to fill my ego a bit more! Meow…ppprrrrrr

My First Attempt At Portrait

My dear friend Ariana was kind enough to be my lab rat on these photos you see below. I have never tried photographing people professionally and I want to gain some experience. We decided to venture into a few spots around Miami and we pulled it off with literally no help but our bare hands. I learned a lot during this experiment and now I understand why photographers that shoot for fashion travel with a whole crew of assistants. I also learned it would be much better to do this type of “On Location Shoot” during the winter months because Miami’s hot and humid weather this past Saturday was not funny. Not funny at all! Never the less we managed to pull through 5 hours of sweat. I want to thank my beautiful model and dear friend Ariana once more for helping me out!

On The Wild Side

I recently felt the need to go to the Zoo, maybe because I had not been there since 1996 and was curious to see what new exhibitions were added in the last couple of years. Boy was I surprised, they have all sorts of new species of birds and other strange animals I have never seen up close. Unfortunately although I was there right when it opened it started to pour only an hour into my adventure and that was the end of that 😦  but I did managed to get a few shots and wanted to share them with you all, maybe some of you might be as surprised as I was and will want to pay the zoo a visit soon!

It’s My Jungle And I Nap If I Want To

The existence of pure white Siberian tigers has not been scientifically proven, despite occasional reports of sightings of white tigers in the regions where wild Siberian tigers live. It is quite possible that the gene for white coating does not exist in the Siberian tiger population, since no pure white Siberian tigers have been born in captivity even though the Siberian tiger has been extensively bred during the last few decades.
